Ask HN: How good is Remarkable 2 with research papers (1 columns, 2 columns)?

I am looking for a e-reader that could competently display research documents that come in A4 size and either in single column or two columns configuration.

Does anybody here have any experience with this? Can it line up 2 column document?

Does there exists any other e-reader that can do this better?

I have about 100 research papers as PDFs on my remarkable 2. It's delightful to read and annotate on it!

The size is perfect, the writing experience is top notch.
