Ask HN: Google Team Matching Before Hiring Committee

Hi, I had my virtual on-site last week for L6 at Google. I was under the impression that after that, a yes/no decision would be made by a hiring committee. However, it looks like it will go through the Team matching and then the HC.

Any one with info on this? Is this a new process?
