In the near future: Microsoft acquires Figma and creates first CoDesigner. This will be the tech founders dream. No designers needed. No problems in implementation. Start from proven dataset, check sentiment results, check accessibility, etc. On a serious note: Did you know about AI based design tools? I am prepared for this eventuality, already thinking about self sustained life.

Video games might be the last bastion of creativity in programming/design. The enterprise will not care about unique designs or engineering, and startups are soaked in copy-cat culture. We’re doomed.

Would it? Designers are a dime a dozen already, and are the least of the worries on a founder's budget.
