Wouldn't copy-pasting be a better option considering that when you type a password it could be key-logged?
When you copy-paste, you first 'copy' and the password is in the global clipboard. Some other app may be able to read the clipboard and get your password.
So the solution is to have them redo it after it was already on the global clipboard? Seems nonsensical
A copied password is more likely to be secure (i/e generated from a password manager) than one that has to be manualy typed. The bank is not thinking this through properly.
Requiring users to type a password is a strong incentive to choose one that is easy to type.
