1) Solving a problem you don't care about: You will lose motivation

2) Helping users you don't care about: You will lose motivation

3) Choosing cofounders you don't know well

4) Not having transparent/honest conversations with your cofounder

5) Not launching: Do you remember when Uber launched? No one does. Get started.

6) Not using analytics: Measure how people interact with your website/product

7) Not knowing where your first users will come from

8) Poor prioritization: Don't waste your time going to conferences and meet-ups, talk to customers instead

IMO, this list is missing one of the most important:

- Not staying focused, e.g. trying to solve too many problems at once.

Related to above:

- Shiny object syndrome

Pivots sometimes are necessary and when necessary need to be done swiftly and fully.
