Ask HN: Easiest CMS System to Setup?

8 points by 41209 ↗ HN
So I'm looking to host a basic CMS, with this CMS I will need to be able to upload files, usually not more than 20 mags or so, as well as allow users to easily edit objects, and fields. I would need to eventually integrate this with a Unity 3D game so anything which provides an existing C# SDK would be great.

I would prefer to have a hosted solution, but I've had a very hard time finding this.

Do you mean easiest CMS to install and get up and running on a VPS or do you mean easiest CMS to use / fastest way to get a website up and running? If the latter, try https://pinkpigeon.co.uk (disclaimer, that's my project). I'd like to think we're up there in terms of ease of use.
I basically need users to be able to upload data, and then have it downloaded via Unity

Check out umbraco, c# cms. Battle tested for ages, also has a hosted option
If you wanted hosted and paid look at contentful and prismic.io

Have worked with prismic and I love it
