Giant corporations that are allowed monopoly over a vital utility have predatorial business practices and charge exorbitant amounts for a subpar service, more news at 11.
I'm in southern NH and forced to use Comcast. I have an Internet-only plan and when I try to change my service it shows a single Internet-only plan for 50 mbps down for $65/mo

Unacceptable but I have no choice.

StarLink?
I've considered it.

Doesn’t (currently) work in high temps, will probably never work in rain. Better than DSL but I don’t think it will ever replace a proper land link.

Edit: Apparently there are some decent Ka-band rain mitigation techniques nowadays so maybe one day rain won’t mess it up so much.

I'm worried that it will not scale well when they start getting some serious subscriber numbers.
I had the same issue, when I looked online the options were dismal and highly expensive. But when I visited the Xfinity store in person, they had multiple tiers of options I could choose from. Currently I'm on the 1.3 gigabit plan at roughly $100/mo. You may or may not have the same luck by visiting in person, or calling on the phone rather than browsing their plans online.
The few times I've been to a Comcast store in person have been surprisingly helpful and pleasant. I'm sure it depends on the location, but it was a much better experience than calling/online.
