Oh, what a read! I am glad everyone is ok.

But this is clearly a software+usability issue, and we will have many more of those in the future as software becomes more complex and the complexity of the overall system increases.

But what is puzzling: the power outage results in voice recorder stopping? The moments like this are the raison d'etre for the thing! We can't it have a small battery with safe chemistry installed? Or, as a backup, a bunch of modified go-pros scattered around the cabin recording in a loop? I don't mean the actual go-pros, but something similar and certified specifically for the purpose?
