> The first CubeSat art space billboard is still expected to launch in 2022 even though GEC is still working on a quantum communication system that would allow instantaneous information transfer over large distances.

Emphasis mine.

I wonder if these are the same poeple who, a few years ago, were concerned that "Evil Hackers" would access small satellites and de-orbit them at specific targets.

> quantum communication system that would allow instantaneous information transfer over large distances.

However do they intend to accomplish that? Quantum entanglement can't be used to accelerate classical communications!

Isn't this, like, a very evil thing to do?

I know there aren't any laws there yet but why should be expect no morals at all from people with power?

Is Elon Musk simply another bad person?

>I know there aren't any laws there yet

I could have sworn something similar happened in the 90's (possibly early 2000?) which prompted the US government to create such a law. I'm unable to look it up right now, but a quick search may yield what I'm describing. Look for "Space Marketing Inc." or some variation thereof.

I used to read dystopian cyberpunk and think "lol that's stupid, no way will it get that far" and it's increasingly more often that I see stuff from dystipian fiction creep it's way into our lives lol
I wish this was an onion article
Title is garbage and doesn't match the article. You won't be able to see an ad in the sky. This is like saying TV satellites pollute the sky with ads.

If you are outraged by this title and story, please reflect on how you consume news media.

Honestly, I didn't really expect much from a site that literally has the words "hype" and "beast" in it.
The sad part is the most misleading parts were added for HN submission
