I once paid an exorbitant[1] amount to fly in a glider. The pilot used a Kobo for navigation. After the flight I talked to him about it. He's a C/C++ SW developer, and he actually ported a popular navigation SW to the Kobo. It was quite cool - not sure if it was this particular SW, though.
The Kobo is probably one of the best ereaders out there if you want to hack things.
