I’d just map ctrl-backtick to backtick.

This cannot be done on the keyboard (unless with a macro that uses a different layout like I added in the update part of the text). I could do it with a software like Karabiner-Elements on the (mac)OS side, but I'd have to do it separately on all my machines. In the end, I shouldn't have to work around deficiencies in Teams. :)
