Mind sharing anything other than an unsubstantiated platitude? The article is very explicit as to the underlying causes and how they make heavy rainfall over long periods in that region of earth more likely.
As someone living next to the affected regions I hope we never meet in person. People like you make my blood boil.
In many affected towns the foundations of old historic houses have been scoured by the flooding, in some cases the houses are over 500 years old, this indicates that such an event has not happened in the Last 500 years.
There are no historic records of a similar flooding event in that region.
The rivers level indicators have been fully submerged and destroyed un several locations. Such level indicators are build with the knowledge of historic flooding and are able to indicate higher floods. Them being submerged / destroyed indicates that the flooding exceeded all prior flooding by a large margin.
The very same phenomenon of record shattering weather events could be seen in the US: Texas snow and extreme heat in Canada.
And this is exactly how the climate catastrophe is working, the established weather patterns are changing rapidly because there is now increased energy in the system and the energy keeps increasing because we add more CO2, more Methane, the Poles albedo is lost, the Tundra is thawing and even more Methane is released.
Have you thought to yourself that the Anti Climate Change movement seems to have run out of actual arguments and all they have left are ad hominem attacks like this that add nothing to any serious debate?
Doesn't anyone wonder how come that even though it's predictable and can be attributed to steady climate changes, no one has predicted it last year?
Read the article, people. There's a formula, for Pete's sake - you just key in the increase in temperature (due to global warming, of course) and you get the resulting increase in rainfall. Very easy!

We are at an inflection point here.
