TLDR; Young people aren't getting vaccines and its forcing Britain to take more compulsory action.

"Large events" is nice and vague, my bet: start with the nightclubs at the start of September, extend to pubs at the start of October, next lockdown end of October. Enjoy the pubs while you can.
as if UK could withstand the current wave till September or October. The floodgates have been opened and with over 100k cases/day in a week or so some lockdown measures will come again earlier rather than later (but yeah, probably only for the unvaccinated).
