The same in Poland. From what I've spoken with typical voters of current ruling party, most share the sentiment that "politicians always stole but at least current ones share with us poor".

He stacked the courts and government servants with loyalists. He controls over 90% of the media. The election system is corrupted to the point that nobody else can win.
