In summary, a young man with a questionable past and no education or experience created a game that had "investing" and "shop club" aspects tied in and conned 250 million dollars from thousands of people in Turkey. He fled the country with ~80 million, was aprehended/surrendered himself to an embassy in Brazil with 13 dollars in his pocket, and the game's programmer is on the hook for part of the blame.

Cool story, and an example of how old cons find new embodiments in new tech. Apparently this was a (rather convoluted?) pyramid scheme.

He actually warned the public in his Farm Bank's sausage commercial with a motto like "Sausage that fits the bill" (in Turkish, fallic innuendo)
