> Microsoft spokesman Tom Pilla on Tuesday confirmed with iPod Observer that his company initiated the creation of the iPod packaging parody video that was first reported last month. "It was an internal-only video clip commissioned by our packaging [team] to humorously highlight the challenges we have faced RE: packaging and to educate marketers here about the pitfalls of packaging/branding," he said via e-mail.
"The problem with Microsoft is they just have no taste. They have no taste and I don't mean that in a small way, I mean that in a big way" - Steve Jobs
Its funny how much Apple has fallen from when they were crushing it (2005-2010) in UX/design.
If you compare the Windows 10 [1] vs. the OSX Big Sur [2] landing pages, Apples focus is on showing all the nifty apps vs why you would want to use the OS. I felt like during the time they were crushing it, their message was so much clearer.
It was things like: Create things. Secure. Reliable. Simple. Rock solid Unix under the hood... etc.
