I hear that Samsung is one of the few big players minimizing radiation to the user. Just thought I'd add this in case that was something you want to consider as well (mixed studies on whether there could be link between cellphone use and specific cancers).
I own pixel 3 for a while now. didn't think I'd like a phone better than my old oneplus one.
I almost exclusively browse & text but it's nice to have latest gadgets such as ARCore and I already used Google Search & Gmail so unless they gonna steal my IM messages they don't get much else.
maybe just maps data. I opt off all ad IDs, tracking etc, but I take it with a grain of salt. I'm just not that interesting to have my data looked at by someone who's not a machine
I like the new motorolas, i have a moto e, <200$ off amazon, they are almost always running heavy promotions and have models for 200$ with decent performance, some are designed so you cant take the battery out which is frustrating but you can fix stuff if your patient/know how to follow YT tutorials.
