Ask HN: Your opinion on hardening sprints?

Hi HN,

First off, I understand the criticism of hardening sprints occurring after each release.

I'm looking for advice on how to schedule hardening sprints in the most productive way. Maybe every three or four regular sprints, for a week of tightly coupled QA + dev.

Positives and negatives?
