One day I saw my mom watching her tv as it was flickering from a bad bridge rectifier. Mom! Can't you see your TV is flickering?? She was totally unaware of this happening. I convinced her to get a new tv. She watched the new TV just like the old one. Completely unaware that either one was producing a bad signal.
