If you like that word you might also enjoy "vade mecum" meaning a handbook from the Latin "go with me"

A term I first encountered in the fictional "A murderer's vade mecum" in one of the Dorothy Sayers detective novels.

Vacuum energy pressure, like gravity, will bring the two plates together, but pulling them back apart will take energy (again, just like with gravity or even a spring), and so doesn't show much promise as a perpetual motion machine.
