Is it that or is it just a narcissistic display of ego?
I feel like Kanye is a creative genius, and he also knows how to get publicity, but I can’t tell if he is using his talents for good or not. I at least believe he sincerely thinks he is using them for good, and in that I hope he succeeds, yet I worry for him if he does.

It is exactly that his actions don’t align with the majority that makes him so appealing. As he has said in his songs, “he ain’t no slave to culture”
