Ask HN: Works of fiction delving into advanced scientific notions?

What works of fiction do you know that delve deep into advanced scientific notions? For example, I can think of books by Neal Stephenson (especially Anathem which delves into the intricacies of some (far-fetched) quantum theories), or Blindsight by Peter Watts.

Stephenson’s Seveneves brought Gerard K. O’Neill’s High Frontier orbital habitats alive. There was a report Ron Howard was going to make a big-budget movie out of it.

For advanced science and math integral to the story, I don’t know of anyone who does it deeper or better than Greg Egan.

Cosigned on Greg Egan! Not everything I've tried of his clicks for me, but IMO Peutation City and Diaspora are masterpieces.
