As usual, the problem with these pilots is that there is an end. As a recipient, if I know the program will end at a certain date then my behavior will be different then if its a permanent program. We had one in Canada and the data said very few people quit their jobs, but yeah that's cause they know its going to end.
As long as there is a demand for US dollars, they can print to finance UBI. That's why US, EU, US are in unique position to print, because exporters love to exchange physicial goods with paper currency. The same exporters don't want Zimbabwe's paper money. That's how this logic works.
