There is no justice until every penny has been taken from every Sackler, and they’re all in jail. What they have done to the country was a disaster, destroying more lives than 9/11.
Sacklers are not to blame for the disaster, their products are not killing people. Those lives were destroyed by a society which seems to believe that drug abusers deserve to die.

Opioid addiction is only dangerous because lawmakers would rather have people dying off of dirty street heroin than having access to clean drugs.

Because Sackler’s opioids would not be damaging without the current drug laws, but the drug laws would still be damaging without the opioids.

It doesn’t make sense to blame both. It’s focusing on the wrong things, there’s nothing to be gained by blaming the Sacklers but there sure is a plenty to gain by rewriting drug laws.
