Ask HN: Agree or disagree, the fall of colonialism was bad for humanity

Reading up on some history. It seems the answer to the above question is probably yes. That colonialism was far better for the people of the world than the anarchy that followed. Yet somehow this strikes me as counter to popular opinion. I would hesitate to write it in a public forum. Why is that ? What am I missing ?

Hi Moldbug.
Please explain why you would compare me to a blogger on the far right. I am not politically affiliated just a curious person who is reading about history. If you have a different view, why is it different ? What am I missing ? I am open to the possibility that I am wrong
There is an unaccountable value to human freedom and liberty. Those without agency don't care about the comforts of reliable food and paved roads. The human soul seeks more than external peace and quiet.
But the fall of colonialism did not lead to freedom and liberty. In fact the average person living within colonial territories experienced a marked decline in freedom and liberty at the end of colonial rule. There are exceptions such as Singapore. But typically corrupt politicians with little regard for the welfare of their people came into power. In many cases these politicians were overthrown in turn by even worse military rulers. Examples include Algeria, Congo, Egypt, Madagascar, Indonesia, and many others.
