Ask HN: Why does Reddit remove the account of a mass murderer?
The answer may seem obvious from the title but I wondered who calls that shot?
1. Is it social Voldemort? "He who must not be named cannot have an identity"?
2. Is it companies (in this case reddit) who want to distance themselves from the individual?
3. Is there a law (given US Reddit = UK reader) and some kind of interpol pulls the strings?
I am just morbidly interested in the profile of someone. I believe as an individual, I could learn something, like alarm bells based on his post history. - Event: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-58197414
