Ask HN: What Happened to Boring Phone?

The recent discussions on phones got me thinking: what happened to Boring Phone?

I recall there was a kickstarter that got funded, but everything dropped off. The website hasn't been updated for a couple of years and the shop is always sold out. I presume that it never went anywhere.
