[..] In July, the House of Commons women and equalities committee launched an inquiry into menopause and the workplace. “These are women in the prime of their lives,” says the committee’s chair, Caroline Nokes MP, “in their late 40s and 50s, who should be in senior positions ... These are the people who should be the trailblazers and role models for younger people in the workplace.”

Almost uniformly, women experiencing menopausal symptoms at work struggle to talk openly about it. Quite simply, it’s embarrassing. “There’s a stigma around it,” says Rachel Weiss, founder of The Menopause Cafe, a safe space where men and women can gather to talk about the menopause. “Being an older woman is not viewed as a positive thing in our society.”[..]

What does it matter if you are older and wiser if you can’t do your job. Women do age out faster due to their biology.

Women are underpaid and overworked even though they excel in many areas more than men. Girls consistently do better than boys in STEM fields in school. Women have higher mortality because they are child bearers and have more mental health issues due to estrogen. And of course, menopause.

Therefore…due to their roles in society, the higher health risks they carry due to the responsibility and evolutionary costs that facilitates child bearing, women should be a rarer commodity and hence paid more.

It amazes me that the exact opposite has been happening. I blame this mostly on rabid fourth wave feminism. Women are not equal to men. They are better than men. And hence should be compensated more. But that would never sell anymore. I would be happy for women to declare themselves a separate species and create our own world and eco system. This would give us better bargaining power and room for negotiation and be able to set our own prices for our services.

The biggest joke has been on women when feminists decided that men and women need to be equal. This is utter nonsense. This needs to be righted pronto and women need to snap out of this bizarro world existence labeled as ‘normal’ …we have been asked to accept as our reality.
