For those interested in depth imaging, Stereolab's RGB stereo camera is good for situations where ambient IR is an issue or reflection is an issue, such as looking through a window. In other cases the Azure Kinect is fantastic.
Quite sad to hear this. Intel has been pushing affordable very decently performing well integrated systems at a wide variety if form factors for a while.
lack of success is a scary indicator to me, indicating not much of a consumer market. most vision folk being eilling to either go off on their own & build solutions, or find higher budget offerings, indicates a kind of missing middle versus the pi-cam crowd (eho has nowhere near the great 3d chops Intel packages up).
