Ask HN: Is knowing to code becoming a useless skill?

I'm a software developer and feel like the writing is on the wall: no-code and AI will make it hard for companies to justify hiring developers in the near future. Instead, we will be using abstract tools that can be learned with no education, so salaries and demand will plummet. Given this, I'm wondering what others are considering as a precaution? Are you focusing on learning new skills to have more leverage on the job market in the future with higher barriers to entry?
