Mindfulness is a lofty goal, but it will require changes to the very structure of society to truly make the best use of it. Society often thrusts itself into the individual experience in an intrusive and dominating fashion, such that mindfulness is much harder than it needs be.
Sometimes I feel we've lost our way as humans on this Earth, and it all started once we began structuring society. We need to be collectively humbled. As much as I enjoy technology, I'd give up all of it, across society in a moment, if I could.
The practice of mindfulness (https://ivypanda.com/essays/mindfulness-as-a-practice-in-the...) makes life beautiful, it allows us to live in the present moment, frees us from patterns of behavior, thoughts, emotions. All that is needed for a conscious life is to transfer attention from thoughts and making plans to reality.
