That we are only 0.01% and have such impact on all other life on earth is trouble, as far as a resilient ecosystem goes. I find it sad that us and our livestock each outnumber the “large mammal” category.

We might be normalizing these relative amounts of biomass, to our detriment. From Feral, by George Monbiot, the abundance and size of fish around Ireland and Wales, for example, would be astounding to most observers today.

The good news is that our percent is increasing.
