Ask HN: Repurposing new 4K TV internals as a PC?

1 points by treyfitty 5y ago ↗ HN

My son cracked the panel, so I wanted to know if there’s any use in the internals to repurpose/salvage. Repair shops were quoting me the cost of the TV just for the panel so I just bought a new one instead.
