Everything (useful) that bring to a digital transportation of the life will be mainstream in the next years here in EU. Now UE system is more centered around the bar codes but they have some limitations because it’s old.

So the QRs surely will spread a lot in the everyday life for a lot of us and also less nerdy people.

I always thought that the thing that made QR codes slow to be adopted was that the phones didn't come with a reader in their default camera application. QR decoding is a standard feature of the phones in the areas where QR codes are in wide use.
Yes but now it’s a standard feature also in EU, it’s built in since at least 2/3 years. It’s quite common in EU for connecting to a router or connect IoT devices or inside the art exhibitions but now with the “green pass” is becoming a standard feature for all the people and especially the elderly.
