Ask HN: What's the closest to hands-on job for a software engineer?
I'm looking for shifting to a job where I can utilize my comp.science background and experience as developer in a more hands-on job working on products or things where success is self-evident so to say. Any tips? I don't want to spend time coding much. Maybe oversee pipelines, supply chains etc

[ 2.3 ms ] story [ 28.6 ms ] threadIt’s also a plus when a PM has some technical awareness since it makes the life of the engineer a lot easier (i.e. not having to explain to the PM how adding a new field in a form is not a “small change” and it would take db migration, models/tests changes, ui design, etc…)
Good luck!
