Ask HN: What happened to the “Node with some other JavaScript engine” projects?

A couple years ago there were projects to allow Node.js to use other engines such as ChakraCore and SpiderMonkey. Now I know ChakraCore is done and dead, but what happened to Mozilla’s effort?

Try StackOverflow. This sort of question doesn't really fit the Ask HN format.
Stackoverflow would close such a question and make the author feel unwanted or worse by the stackoverflow community.
The irony is that the incredibly dismissive response of the parent, referring to some unidentifiable rule or guideline, is what immediately reminded me of SO and its overall hostility towards these types of questions.
The opposite. ZStack Overflow would never allow this question.
I disagree. IMHO it fits well.
There was SpiderNode a while back, but I don’t think it was ever official. And it’s definitely not still developed
