When there is a problem with car manufacturing, there is a recall and life goes on. When there is a problem with vaccine manufacturing, there must be a conspiracy.
Vaccine manufacturers are indemnified, at least in the US. If car manufacturers were, I'd wonder if the powers that made it so had something to hide, too.
Although it was just analogy, are you familiar with the Ford Pinto?
The Ford Pinto had a serious safety issue where rear-ending it would lock the doors and explode. They knew about the issue but did not recall it because the cost-benefit analysis told them not-recalling was the most profitable move
So, car manufacturers weren't exactly indemnified, but the costs of doing wrong continue not to be great enough to matter.
Late reply. Viewing comments, I realize my initial comment was a bit too snarky. I was not at all trying to shield the manufacturers from being held responsible for harm from a defective product. I was mostly concerned that people would use the situation to decry all vaccines, denying their benefit. To extend the analogy of the Ford Pinto, I didn't want someone to say that because Ford made a dangerous car, that all cars were bad, that Ford was trying to kill off American citizens, and that one should never ride in or drive a car.
I thought all those magnet photos were obvious hoaxes, but I don't know what to think anymore. How much metal is actually needed for a noticeable magnetic reaction in the injection site?
"Foreign substance detected in Moderna vaccine in Japan may be metal"
This article from The New Daily states that two deaths were caused by contaminated vaccines. But as far as I know, this has not been stated here in Japan—two people who had received vaccines from a lot that had been suspended (not confirmed to have been contaminated) died within a few days of receiving the vaccine, but there have been no statements about the cause of death at all, or if there is any connection to the vaccine.
The article also says that additional contaminated vaccines were found. But this is a lie. The two people who died were vaccinated from the lots that were already suspended. There are no new suspended lots or suspicions of additional contaminated lots. (There is 1 confirmed contaminated lot, and 2 other lots from the same plant were proactively suspended. This happened simultaneously and are the only suspended lots.)
This article from The New Daily seems to be twisting news from a foreign country (Japan) to make a point about domestic affairs from its own country (Australia.)
I've never read anything from The New Daily before, but this reporting is very low quality.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about any of this.
