My partner (life-partner and business partner) and I have been running a version of this for not-for-profit groups for years now, but we finally got our business version out, for anyone to use.
Although we're both paid devs now, we learned to code specifically for this project, and it's been our labour of love. It's a completely bootstrapped project, that we've been working on outside our paid hours.
