Why dead, feels like it's starting.
Yes, sir. I called this not too long ago: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2814897

I actually had a lot of hope for g+ because it addressed one of my biggest issues with facebook(lack of granular privacy controls). However my initial optimism for google plus was replaced with an appreciation for facebook seeing how in six years of usage I never felt as overwhelmed by facebook as I did with google+'s UI. Oh, not to mention that I can't really find many friends who actually use google plus and can't figure why random spammy people keep adding me to their circles. Sounds a lot like twitter. But worse.

"Already"? Loaded question.
Given the privacy and anonymity issues and that they suspended my account for not giving a real name I am done with them and wish them only the worst...in fact I'm reconsidering using their services at all and already use scroogle should I need a Google based search.
it has huge potential.. and it stll kicks ass.. you just have to know how to use it.
