Maybe it's just me, but it seems like fractional ownership schemes are big right now. I've seen articles in the last couple of weeks about Pacaso[0] and Ancana[1] for fractional ownership of vacation homes, and today came across AcreTrader - fractional ownership of farmland (complete with payments from the farmer who rents the land from the LLC).

I like to call it the financialization of everything. The rent seeking model is better for everyone. Jesus and Buddha didn't own anything.
