Ask HN: Device to show calendar events on my wrist?

I've never really been a user of smartwatches or fitness bands (I stick to my trusty Casio F91-W), but recently I've wanted a way to view Google Calendar notifications on my wrist. Is there an inexpensive device that can pair with an Android to do this, preferably one that respects privacy?

I have bought and sold a mid-range smartwatch (Galaxy Active 2) but its fine if you really need that. Its what its made for.
