It will be interesting to see how much of what is pulled out can be recycled, and what ends up in a landfill. I wish them all the best.
Monash University had a single tech gallery, in a ring around campus. It made some decisions about wiring significantly easier compared to the other Australian Universities, when it came to hook-up-all-the-things. (Monash may IIRC have done their own tty serial line cards for terminals, over copper in this thing before we hit "real" networks)

I believe like CERN it was big enough to drive around. Never went in, may just be rumour.

That map is a screaming invitation to Summer Students looking for a nice Half-Life adventure in the deeper parts of CERN.
Summer and Technical students (or basically anyone with a CERN account) already have access to much more detailed maps, if they care to search around CERN's GIS portal a bit.

Additionally, those who know the right people can get a paper version of the galleries map with all the interesting spots (unlocked entrances, light switches and spots like "zombie cages" or "connor's death") marked.
