Ask HN: Electricity Company Privacy Concerns

My home power (electricity) company recently apparently started using a service called "Bidgely" that tracks my usage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9D__pRGM6A - this seems like an invasion of privacy to me - is there anything I can do to get out of this?
