I've become very sensitive to this type of person. They mean well, but they're dangerous meddlers. They sit around and imagine how the world "should" be, and then try to force their dreams onto people. The usual result is mass death.
This is not how we actually make progress. We don't wait for somebody who sat with their chin in their hand imagining amazing futures to come tell us their wonderful plans. We get deeply involved in processes and improve them incrementally. "Disruptions" can happen, but organically, not dreamed up and foisted onto us.
People like this guy want e.g. everyone to be farmers, but they themselves don't even have a garden. They want e.g. for property to be communal, but they lock their doors. They don't show that their plans work even at very small scale, even with their friends. They "reimagine" things, but they don't test their ideas personally. It's all quite reminiscent of the stuff Pol Pot wanted to do.
You should be afraid of such people, because they love their ideas more than your life.
