I think people that worked on these studies should lose a lot of their academic credibility, as should the journals publishing them, albeit to a lesser degree perhaps.

I believe there isn't conclusive evidence for or against a lab leak, but the studies that excluded the possibility were just carefully constructed lies for political convenience. The authors should be deeply ashamed and I don't think anyone should trust their expertise anymore.

You'd be surprised. The Wuhan labs were literally corona factories targeting human lungs, and Wuhan residents don't eat bats. The evidence is conclusive, just not direct in linking a particular cage in WIV with an infection outside the lab.

Investigative journalists are focusing on the time period when WIV retracted two corona sequence databases from the Internet (NIH and WIV,) which was around the time of the 2019 Military Games.

Trump knew Fauci was lying since early 2020, but didn't fire him because he didn't want to create a martyr - big mistake, since any new director would have released the grant information (65 US grants to WIV, plus another 26 Chinese labs) a year earlier. Fauci appears to have some kind of mental illness, perhaps an extreme god complex.

Note the invisible hand of the CCP is involved in funding the various scientific journals involved. Cops have "the blue line", but virologists have the CCP and NIH enforcing speech.
