What do you think of the platform design and the few restrictions they put on the nomination and election process? I though their approach was really unique and would like to see if it would work..
Gah, stop it with the presidential runs. It is MUCH easier to infiltrate U.S. politics via the House of Representatives. Elect a half-dozen representatives - which is entirely possible and much cheaper than a single Presidential run - and suddenly you're Joe Lieberman - the swing votes on a lot of issues.
But since most of the third-parties are driven by ego and really are just advertising for one specific person, they concentrate on a doomed Presidential run and fail miserably. What a waste.
Oh, nevermind, I see Thomas Friedman was excited about this. That clinches it: it's a failure.
