It's a monopolistic market. There are 2 (vodafone and telekom) country wide providers with the same prices and some smaller regional providers. The quality of the so called "fiber" is absymal. When it rains expect big interruptions in connectivity (fiber 1Gbps ). Pages take sometimes even 1 minute to load. The only thing that works well is the speed test.
