how about good luck building any wealth at all working under others without sizable equity :~)
How about policies like those enforced in some European countries where it is illegal to contact an employee outside of normal working hours?
A good idea, but good luck with that in the U-S-of-A.
And that's exactly the problem: there are enough hours in the day, and that "Monday morning deadline" is literally made up.

You are most likely not doing a heart transplant where deadlines are real (or fixing a bridge that's almost going to collapse).

If you, as a manager, cannot arrange for deadlines to be real and realistic, you suck as a manager: it is not the employee's fault for possibly having other arrangements to go to.
