2021-09-19. New Volcanic Eruption in Canary Islands, Spain

At 16:20 of today, a new volcanic eruption started in La Cumbre Vieja natural park near a pine forest in La Palma Island, (Canary Islands). Since the last week 25.000 earthquakes in swarms were registered in the area. The last time something like this happened was in 70's.

The lava flows by two of the five exit points and the fissure eruption is of strombolian type currently.
