I self host a couple of services via VPS’s from different providers. I’ve had one that every now and then just drops offline and I’ve never been able to figure out why. Checking old logs never revealed anything out of the ordinary. It just drops packets and then rights itself after some indeterminate length of time. I never once thought about looking for a resource monitoring tool that recorded data - even though I use the logs every time it happened.

Thanks for the heads up about this tool!

Does facebook use Fedora as base linux distro? What % of their VMs is on Fedora?

Very curious on what's the distro of choice at the large companies are. Debian 11 has recently been released, but otherwise it gets new goodies rather slowly, CentOS is pretty much dead, not sure whether Fedora is a good choice for a fleet of stable servers?
